I have things to write about!
Sadly, most of them have necessary background that I can't write about.
grumblegrumble.
So, does anyone have a pool yet on how likely Iran is to remain unbombed by cranky Israelis? Maybe then they'll be too busy to send EFPs over the border.
Australians are some odd ducks. I'm going to like working for them, I think.

A theory being passed around is the Israelis are waiting on the U.S. presidential election. An Obama win would lead to them attacking; a McCain win would make them wait and see if the U.S. will do it for them.
From time to time, your blog inspires to find some rather interesting reading by interesting authors.
But looking at the reference mentioned above, I would assume that there would be more people available to send EFPs across the border if the Israelis bomb their other workplace.

I figure Iran getting Osirak'ed is a when, not an if.
That's a pretty darn good theory. The Israeli's may not be thinking that way, but they'd better have a very good reason. I still think Iraq was supposed to be the jumping off point for an attack on Iran; only that plan assumed Iraq would go as well, and as cheaply, as it was supposed to. Iran has been a target for a long time. Way back in the 2004 presidential campaign, Kerry suddenly felt the need, late in the 3rd debate, to add a point about being willing to attack Iran if the need arose. Out of nowhere, no segue at all, a complete non sequitor. Just sayin', y'know.
Pity about the stuff you can't write about. Good on you for working for Aussies mate. Get used to it. I had a CFO from Australia for two fun, booze soaked years at an advertising agency. Protip: use the phrase "how you goin' mate ?" as a greeting, they'll love you for it.
The US has a number of B-1 bombers in long-term storage at Davis-Monthan AFB. In my humble POV, the President should order those made flyable again, and then invite the Israelis to send some crews over to train on them. With the current Congress (the opposite of progress) there is no way he could get them to approve the sale. But McCain has enough cojones to do it and get it approved.
The B-1 is perfect for the job of taking out the Iranian nuke sites. We should sell or lease (for $1 each) 18 of these to Israel: let them form 3 squadrons of 6 plus 2 training planes. That will give the Iranians pause to reconsider their plans. At the very minimum, it will balance (as in Mutally Assured Destruction) the Iranians.
Take Care the UK is standing beside you, while the other European cowards stay home,

Yeah, our RESA is fuckin' awesome, even if he is a major.
Yes, there's a pool, sort of:
